DESCRIPTION
The Medi-Therm Hyper/Hypothermia System has a conductive core temperature therapy system for optimal patient temperature regulation with rate controlled warming
The Gaymar Medi-Therm II 5900 is a patient warming system that features both manual and auto patient temperature. It has monitor set-up and operation modes with a patient probe connector. Seeing and setting the patient temperature will never be a problem with the digital display for degrees in Farenheight or Celcius modes. MEDI-THERM III; Gaymar MEDI-THERM III Manuals Manuals and User Guides for Gaymar MEDI-THERM III. We have 3 Gaymar MEDI-THERM III manuals available for free PDF download: Service Manual, Operator's Manual.
The Medi-Therm Hyper/Hypothermia System delivers regulated heat or cold therapy with microprocessor accuracy and reliability. Clinical applications include warming for perioperative normothermia, actively rewarming trauma patients and acute hypothermia victims; and for actively cooling febrile patients, and providing therapy for patients with cerebral trauma or malignant hyperthermia.
The American Heart Association 2005 Guidelines recommend that unconscious adults with Return of Spontaneous Circulation after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest should be cooled to 32°C to 34w°C for 12 to 24 hours (Circulation 2005:IV-84-IV-88). More care facilities are considering and implementing a new approach to temperature management therapy called Induced Mild Hypothermia. The Medi-Therm is an ideal device to use for this application.

-NurseJG 5 years ago | 5 years agoOptions on placing probe I work in a facility that has several Medi-Therm III Hyper/Hypothermia Machines. We have had some instances where using the probe rectally is not possible and need to know if there are other places that are ideal to place the probe. One of our team members has seen it placed in the patient's groin. Are there any other options and are they dependable as far as accurate temperatures? Reply |
1Reply7 years ago | 7 years ago7900 not cooling problem Hi, I have a MTA 7900, that is not cooling. I have replaced the solenoid assembly as per manufactures suggestion, despite both heating and cooling solenoids were energizing. The unit only cools to approximately 75-76 degrees, it never went into overtemp or displayed any error code to indicate a specific problem, and unit heats with no problem. The manufacture just gives me a, 'Hm', and states thats odd. I need alittle more technical help than that, especially since this unit is relatively new. Is it possible it is in need of refrigerate at this early stage of life of the unit? Any insight, and suggestions would be greatly appreciate. Thank you, CJ-bmet Reply |
